Fall is here! During the fall months, there are many opportunities to be thankful
especially as we gear up for Thanksgiving. Being grateful over the holidays can
be fun too. So here are just a few simple yet practical ideas I wanted to share...
1. Spend Time - This year we are hosting Thanksgiving dinner at our home.
So I thought it would be fun to paint some pumpkins with my two girls
Jazmine and Alyssa. We turned ordinary orange pumpkins into white pumpkins
and added a little bling with some gold sparkles. The girls enjoyed painting them.
It was a fun way to get them involved in decorating our table centerpiece. while
spending quality time together.
2. Think Of Others - Bring a hot meal to someone hurting or in need. When we can focus
our attention on the needs of others and not always on our own needs it puts things
into perspective. It makes us realize how blessed and how fortunate we truly are.
Gratitude changes everything!
3. Have Fun - Spending time with family and friends over the holidays is always great.
So warm up with some hot apple cider, play some games and have some FUN over
the long weekend. Laughter is good for the soul. Remember to count your blessings
for all the amazing people in your life.
4. Generosity - Donate non-perishable food items or toys to a homeless shelter/
women's shelter. Or just purpose in your heart to be a blessings to someone
this coming weekend. Small acts of kindness go along way and are often never
forgotten. Giving is better than receiving.
From the Henry home to yours Happy Thanksgiving!
