My most recent project that I started a few days ago has finally come to an end.
Half way through this project I said to myself what was I thinking to want to do this?! Ha Ha.
However all the hard work that I put into making these tables look new again has paid off.
Here's how it all started....
My husband and I were thinking it was time to get some new coffee tables for our living room.
We had found a set that we really liked but just put it off as we where busy with other things.
One day I was in our basement and had noticed an old set of tables we had purchased over
10 years ago. Solid wood with glass tops, it was then that I had a light bulb moment!
What If I was to refurbish them and use them upstairs?! So I started to do some research as to
what I should do. I was torn between doing chalk paint with a wax finish or Advance Paint by
Benjamin Moore. In the end I decided to go with Advance Paint by Benjamin Moore.
My colour selection was Swiss Coffee OC-45, I'm happy with the colour choice however I did find
it came out a bit lighter than the colour swatch in the store. With saying that I would rather have it
on the whiter side than to yellow. Primed with one coat and two coats of Advance Paint waiting
16 hours in-between coats. This project has come to an end and I couldn't be more happier with my results. Cost: Stix Primer $27.99 (Quart size) / Advance paint $29.99 (quart size)
