Let it rest for 20 minutes before serving. Baking dish size 9X13 I use a deep dish, its best so your cheese doesn't stick to foil while baking. Happy Autumn everyone. It's hard to believe that summer is over and we have stepped into a new season. To kick this fall season off to a great start, we planned a family trip to Apple Land Station. Apple land is a first generation farm, their first crop was harvested in 1986 and they sold from a picnic table. Since then, they have enjoyed providing our community with high quality, fresh produce and an opportunity to create family memories. Apple Land bakery makes their signature mile high apple pies and are made fresh daily. Everything in their bakery is scratch made, no canned pie filling, they peel, slice and steam their own fillings, they make and roll out their own dough for a buttery, flaky crust. Flavours: apple, apple crumble, pumpkin, pumpkin praline, cherry, blueberry, raspberry, strawberry rhubarb and pecan pies, all fresh for the eating! Great for last minute company! Apple Land has been a family tradition for us. Its a great way to have some family fun and of course to eat/pick some delicious apples. "Get Inspired Today" It’s no secret that white walls are where it’s at these days! Sure, grey paint is still a surefire choice but more and more people are jumping on the white bandwagon. And for those of you who know me and follow me know I LOVE a. lot. of. white. In my mind, it’s the IT NEUTRAL and you can’t really go wrong. Cloud White – definitely a warmer white that is very elegant and timeless. Great for any room. -"Get Inspired Today" Stylish & Practical Ways to Accessorize Your KitchenSometimes, given their function, kitchens are overlooked as a space that can be decorated in the home. But kitchens are the heart of the home and a gathering place for family and friends, so just like any other room in the house, they should reflect our personal style. Every once in awhile I get the itch to move things around in my kitchen to give it a fresh feel and with a few, well-placed accessories and details you can give your kitchen a warm and inviting touch. Stick with kitchen themed décor- Accessories and other décor in a kitchen feel more natural and less contrived when they are items that “make sense” for a kitchen, so be sure to give careful thought as to what you include. Beautiful dishes, serving pieces, a display of cutting boards, trays, picture frames with quotes, or even a nice cookbook can all make beautiful displays in a kitchen with out feeling like they are out-of-place. Keep things practical - It’s hard to keep the kitchen clean always, things get splashed with water or food and grease can build up on items. As you select decorative accessories to include in the kitchen, be practical and look for items that can easily be cleaned or wiped down as part of your regular cleaning routine. The kitchen is where memories are made, so make sure your kitchen reflects your style and your family with the addition of a few well-placed accessories. And don’t feel pressured to run out and buy something. Instead, open up your cabinets and look at what you already have to see how you can incorporate it into a beautiful display! "Get Inspired Today" My kitchen space...Entertaining Outdoors {Table Setting}At the end of a long day, most people just want a place to unwind and relax. Creating an out door retreat may take a bit of hard work at first but the rewards later are so worth it. The size of your garden isn't important, but make sure to select low-maintenance plants to simplify garden care. Don't let a lack of space deter you: A balcony filled with container gardens, and a comfy chair can provide as much relaxation as a large garden. As a busy mom on the go I lean towards simple and low maintenance. I stick with perennial's for the gardens and planters on my deck and front porch for nice pops of colour. Here are 6 of my most favourite perennials/flowers to grow in my gardens. The best part is you don't need to have a green thumb to grow them. A little love and water go along way with these plants. A few of my favourite Perennial'sAdding accessories to your outdoor space is an other great way to make it cozy and inviting. You can add pops of colour with outdoor pillows, cushions, rugs and trays. Candles, lanterns and torches also bring an even more dramatic look at night time. I hope these little tips have inspired you to get out and make your outdoor space your own. "Get Inspired Today!' Home Sweet HomeNothing says "weekend" like homemade pancakes for breakfast. Its time to put away the scarves, mitts and boots, and bring out the umbrellas, ponchos and sunglasses. Or, for your home bring out the bright colours and fresh flowers. Its time to revive your decor with accessories that will help bring spring into your space. Here are 5 great ways to help welcome the new season into your home. 1:Vases - Now that it is spring, this means we"ll be seeing pretty blooms everywhere so why not bring them right into your home? Use tall or short vases to showcase some greenery or flowers on tabletops, side tables and in the front entryway. (All the vases I have displayed below in the pictures, I spray painted them in a gold finish) 2:Scented Candles - Candles are a lovely option and great for anywhere in your home. Oil diff-users are a great way to add a fresh Scent to your home as well without having to leave a candle burning. I especially love the "white Jasmine" by Zara Home. 3:De-clutter - Spring is the best time to give your home a thorough cleaning, and with cleaning comes de-cluttering. Time to get rid of all the extra clutter that your house accumulated through the winter months. 4:Throws - The nights can still get chilly in the early spring months, but not enough for those thick throws. Opt for a lighter throw, and maybe change up the colours a bit to brighten and freshen your space. 5:Shells and Birds - Small accessories like shells or birds are a great way to bring spring into your home as well. They look great on top of books, trays or even shelves. "Get Inspired Today!"
